Join your colleagues as we depart Salt Lake City with BeUtahful Tours and commence an historical and artistic journey. Our first stop will be Golden Spike National Park – where we will meet our guide Hikmet Sidney Loe. After a guided tour of the park and a chance to eat the provided box lunch we will continue to Spiral Jetty.

About Spiral Jetty: The monumental earthwork Spiral Jetty (1970) was created by artist Robert Smithson and is located off Rozel Point in the north arm of Great Salt Lake. Made of black basalt rocks and earth gathered from the site, Spiral Jetty is a 15-foot-wide coil that stretches more than 1,500 feet into the lake. Undoubtedly the most famous large-scale earthwork of the period, it has come to epitomize Land art. Its exceptional art historical importance and its unique beauty have drawn visitors and media attention from throughout Utah and around the world.

About Golden Spike National Historical Park: One of the greatest technological achievements of the 19th century is the completion of the first transcontinental railroad across the United States. Visitors to the park can see the location of the Last Spike Site, 1869 railroad construction features, walk on the original railroad grade, and get an up close view of Victorian era replica locomotives.
